I'm a writer.

 

I've always been a writer.  Since I was a teenager.

 

....although college shocked it out of me and I stopped writing for 18 years, wondering who was I and what did I have to say.

 

At the age of 36, with two sons, a lengthy marriage already under my belt, and having worked at two corporate firms....suddenly, I found I had a lot to say.  I listened to my own voice and have been writing ever since -- a blog, books, articles for The Huffington Post, Maria.Shriver.com.

Creativity is as important to humans as breathing.  At middle age, I've found that going with it is what gets us through, brings us up, allows us to connect with each other.  

 

My greatest joy is connecting.
